On Saturday March 22nd a small band of intrepid Triumph owners boldly went where few have gone before, Acworth Georgia. Now if you’ve never been to Acworth, I know I hadn’t before last weekend, you might be surprised that it is a mecca of auto glory, and a delight to the culinary palate. Yes, this is the tale of a band of brothers and their adventures in wonderland. It all began around 2:00 as a rag-tag group of hastily thrown together members embarked on a mission to save one of our newest fellow members (Peter Weimer) from scorn and ridicule being sandwiched between two Ford’s and being asked if his GT6 was a Datsun. So, Jeff Rountree, Mike Hurst, Jeff Kimbrell, Shawn Tarleton and I (Tony Graham) forswore all danger and odds to assist our fellow man, brandishing the shield of Triumph! Unfortunately, Peter’s GT6 did not co-operate and never made it. But, let it be known that what happened on this day my friends was nothing less than legendary…oh yah and we forgot to take pics of our own cars.  Click on any picture to enlarge.

And thus ended the Acworth Experiment. A great time was had by all, even Lord Lucas who blessed us all with working electrics driving home in the late evening.
