ABOUT US

Behind the Banter

We are Georgia’s only all-Triumph car club, and one of the largest Triumph clubs in the Southeast. Our current membership roster includes over 170 members and well over 200 cars. The GTA is a chapter of the Vintage Triumph Register (VTR), Triumph Register of America (TRA) and the 6-Pack clubs, all national Triumph organizations.

GTA has three centers of excellence for coordinating and sharing club activities.  Our core Atlanta group; our South side group and our Mountain Division.  All share their “keep'em on the road” repair adventures, fix-it garage resources, Triumph unique challenges and car shows via our Trumpet monthly award-winning magazine, GTA website and our Facebook GTA group page.

Over the years, we have enjoyed many wonderful activities, from scenic touring in the North Georgia Mountains, to the rich displays of British Car Shows such as the Atlanta British Car Day in the spring, Norcross British Car Fayre in the Fall to the intimate gatherings at the GTA holiday parties as well as Chili and BBQ Cookoffs and picnics. Our club is best known for our drives and tech sessions.

We make every effort to ensure that the GTA hosts at least one driving event each month. We also collaborate with other area clubs to mix and mingle to provide a well-rounded experience for our members. The result is a calendar of events that offers frequent outings and opportunities to learn more about the technical aspects of these great cars.

One of the high points in our driving season is the GTA Polar Bear Run which happens the Saturday after Christmas. This outing is open to all vintage cars and doubles as a fundraising event for the ALS Foundation of Georgia.  It is not unusual to have 80 plus vintage cars of all varieties at the annual PBR drive.

So, if you own a Triumph, and you’re not a member of the GTA, please consider joining our group. If you are a member of the GTA, and we haven’t seen you in a while, please come out and join us, or offer us suggestions for an event that you’d like to attend.

If you own another classic car marque, and are in striking distance of the Atlanta area, keep an eye on our calendar of events, and come join us on one of our many road trips throughout the year. Some of our very active members do not own Triumphs at all and join our club with their favorite Vintage cars.

Meetings are on the third Tuesday of the month and locations of meeting are found on our website. For special requests and ideas please contact us via the Contact Us tab on our home page.  www.gatriumph.com
